Terms & Conditions

Dear User, We take the issue of data protection and confidentiality very seriously and observe national and European data protection regulations. The following section provides an explanation of the most important aspects of how our data is stored and processed.

1. Collection, processing and use of personal data.

a) Personal data refers to details about your personal or material circumstances, such as your name, date of birth, email address, telephone number, or postal address. Buccara collects, processes, and utilizes (hereinafter referred to as “uses”) the personal data that you provide when it is required for establishing, conducting, or terminating contractual or similar obligations. These obligations may arise when you become a member of the Buccara Community through our website, www.buccara.com, offer or participate in an experience, sign up for a newsletter, take part in surveys, contests, competitions, product tests, or sweepstakes, or when you contact us to acquire information about us or our products. In such cases, we use your personal data to offer other members your experience, inform other members about your interest in the experiences they are offering, and process your inquiries.

b) You are free to decide whether to provide us with data for the mentioned purposes. If the nature of your inquiry allows it, you can contact us anonymously and/or using a pseudonym. However, when you enter into a contract with another member regarding an experience, you must provide your real name, address, and relevant bank details to your contractual partner and us.

c) During the processing of your inquiries, Buccara may need to share your personal data with other associated companies or external service providers, which may be located in European and non-European third countries. These service providers may be tasked, for example, with handling payment procedures, distributing advertising materials, or organizing prize competitions. We require our external service providers to use your personal data only in accordance with our specifications, this Data Privacy Statement, and legal regulations regarding order data processing.

d) We do not disclose your data to third parties without your prior consent, nor do we sell or rent data. However, we reserve the right to disclose information about you if we are legally required to do so or if we are requested to do so by legitimate authorities or law enforcement agencies.

2. Social networks, e.g. “Facebook”.

a) Our websites may use social plugins from social networks, specifically the “Like” button from the provider “Facebook,” whose internet presence is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. The German website facebook.de is the responsibility of Facebook Ireland Limited, Hanover Reach, 5-7 Hanover Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland. The plugins are typically labeled with a Facebook logo. Communication tools from the social network Facebook may also be used, particularly the product Website Custom Audiences. This product generates a non-reversible, non-personal hash value from your user data that may be shared with Facebook for marketing and analysis purposes. Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection, as well as the further processing and use of data by Facebook, including privacy settings, is available in the Data Use Policy of Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/ads/website_custom_audiences and https://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation. If you wish to revoke consent for the use of Facebook Website Custom Audiences, you can do so at https://www.facebook.com/ads/website_custom_audiences/.

b) In addition to using Facebook plugins, we also reserve the right to integrate plugins from “Google+” (Provider: Google Inc., Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) and “Twitter” (Provider: Twitter, Inc., 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103). The explanations for Facebook apply equally to these two providers. Further information on data usage at “Google+” and “Twitter” is available at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/ and https://twitter.com/privacy.

c) When you visit one of our websites or use parts of the Buccara App that contain a plugin, your device establishes a connection to the Facebook servers. Information that you are using our website or the Buccara App is transmitted to Facebook, even if you are not logged in to Facebook and regardless of whether you actually activate or click on the plugins.

d) If you are logged in to Facebook while visiting our website or using the Buccara App, Facebook can associate your visit to the website or the use of our app with your user account. If you click the “Like” button, this information is transmitted to Facebook and stored, particularly for sharing the “Like” information with your Facebook friends. This also applies when you use the “Tell a Friend” or “Share” functions on some of our websites. We have no control over the type and amount of data transmitted to Facebook. Furthermore, we do not know which of your data is transmitted to Facebook or for what purposes Facebook uses this data. Your IP address is transmitted, and according to Facebook, information about the visited website, the date and time of the visit, and other browser-related information. Further information on Facebook is available at https://www.facebook.com/help/?faq=186325668085084.

e) If you do not want Facebook to associate your visit to our website with your Facebook account, you must log out of your Facebook account before visiting our website or using our app. Further information on the collection, storage, and use of your personal data by Facebook, as well as privacy settings, is available in the Data Use Policy from Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy.

3. Contact, access to information, revoking, blocking, deleting.

You have the right to revoke your consent for the use of your personal data in the future, initiate full or partial blocking or deletion of your data, or request information or rectification of your personal data that we have stored. You can exercise these rights at any time and free of charge. To do so, please contact us at the address provided in our website notice (“Imprint”).

a) Cookies for Improving the Functionality of Our Websites: We use cookies to understand how our websites are used and to enhance their appeal, content, and functionality. For instance, cookies help us determine which sub-pages users visit, the content they are interested in, and various metrics such as page access frequency, sub-page views, duration of website visits, page viewing order, search terms used to reach the website, geographical location (country, region, and, if applicable, town/city), internet browser and language settings, as well as the number of visits made using mobile devices. d) Google Analytics: This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics utilizes specific types of cookies, text files that are saved on your computer and enable analysis of your website usage. Cookie-generated information about your website usage is typically transmitted to and stored on Google servers in the United States. We would like to inform you that this website has implemented the code “gat._anonymizeIp();” within Google Analytics to ensure the anonymization of IP addresses (known as IP masking). IP anonymization on this website means that your IP address is truncated by Google within the European Union member states or other signatory states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. Google will use this information on our behalf to compile reports on website activities and provide additional services related to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google. You can prevent the storage of cookies through the corresponding setting in your browser software (see above, figure 5c). Additionally, you can prevent Google from collecting and processing cookie-generated data concerning your website usage (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. Further information on terms of use and data security is available at https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html and https://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html. If applicable, we also use Google Analytics to evaluate data from AdWords or “Double Click” cookies for statistical purposes. If you disagree with this, you can deactivate it through the Google Ad Manager at (https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/?hl=de).

e) Data Security: We have implemented technical and organizational measures to protect your data from loss, alteration, or unauthorized access by third parties.
